PHII's 128-hour certification course is approved for pre-license education in Texas. To become a home inspector in Texas, you would have to take the 128 hour course, then either go on 25 inspections with a licensed inspector, or show the board that you have experience in each of eight areas of Texas home inspection, which are electrical, plumbing, roofing, framing, insulation, concrete, drainage.Texas Real Estate Commission Approved
Our Texas course (which includes 8 hours of Texas standards) has been approved by the Texas Real Estate Commission (TREC) for the required 128 core hours in home inspection. The "fast-track" method (no apprenticeship required), also requires 320 hours of additional construction-related courses or satisfactory experience in these areas. (We have additional online Texas course offerings planned.)Â
